Michael has been with Tonneson for over 25 years. He focuses on audit and attests services, strategic business planning, and mergers and acquisitions for companies in the manufacturing, distribution, professional services and construction sectors. Michael is motivated by the satisfaction he gets from helping clients devise solutions to difficult issues. He employs a proactive and personable approach to helping his clients meet their goals.

Michael is a CPA who earned a B.S. in business administration from the University of New Hampshire. He serves as treasurer of the Gamma Mu alumni association. He holds memberships in the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MSCPA). He enjoys participating in networking, social, recruiting and training activities at the firm.

Michael resides in Merrimac, Mass. with his wife Debi, son Alex and daughter Alyssa. He was previously active in coaching youth sports teams, including basketball and baseball. Michael helped to set up and incorporate Merrimac Youth Sports, Inc., a local nonprofit organization, where he served as Treasurer. Outside of work, he enjoys supporting his son and daughter at their sporting events, as well as going to the beach, exercising and gardening. When it’s time to get away, he enjoys traveling to Martha’s Vineyard.
