Bill Boyer is a Managing Director at Tonneson with over 21 years of professional experience. He joined the firm’s Tax department in 2011. Bill specializes in providing tax and advisory services to closely held owned/managed businesses, focusing on industries such as manufacturing, distribution, professional services, real estate, and construction. His expertise includes Advisory Services, Client Accounting Services, Matrimonial Litigation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Succession Planning, and Tax Planning & Consulting.
Bill holds a CPA designation and earned a BS in accounting and an MS in taxation from Bentley University. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MassCPAs) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). In addition to his daily responsibilities, Bill actively engages in company networking and training initiatives. He also contributes to the BU/HD Golf Classic committee, an event that raises funds for Huntington’s Disease research.
Bill’s motivation stems from working on challenging projects that push his abilities and deepen his understanding of tax law. He takes pride in assisting business owners and stakeholders in finding optimal solutions for complex transactions and activities.

Bill resides in Bradford, MA with his wife of 22 years, Tina, and two boys, Sam and Max. Bill is motivated by the challenge of setting an example for his boys. He enjoys reading, golf, spending time with friends and family, and watching his kids participate in their activities. Hawaii is his favorite spot for a getaway, but he spends most vacations in hockey rinks and on baseball fields these days.
