On July 6, the Small Business Administration (SBA), in consultation with Treasury, released detailed loan-level data regarding the loans made under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). This disclosure covers each of the 4.9 million PPP loans that have been made.

The loan-level data includes business names, addresses, NAICS codes, zip codes, business type, demographic data, non-profit information, name of lender, and jobs supported, sorted by the following loan amount ranges:

  • $150,000-350,000
  • $350,000-1 million
  • $1-2 million
  • $2-5 million
  • $5-10 million

The SBA and Treasury also published data for recipients of PPP loans less than $150,000 but did not reveal the names and addresses of those businesses.

You may view the list of names, by state, on the SBA Paycheck Protection Program Loan Level Data web page.

In an 18-page PPP Report the SBA and Treasury stated that 86.5% of PPP loans were for less than $150,000. Those loans, however, accounted for only 27.2% of the $521.5 billion in loans approved. The average loan size was $107,000. More than 3.5 million loans were for $50,000 or less, while about 82,600 loans were for more than $1 million.
