Client Services Associate

The Client Services Associate is responsible for ensuring client retention through ongoing technology and accounting consulting services to manage small business accounting projects for select clients. Responsibilities include monthly account postings and reconciliations, year-end closings to be used for tax preparation purposes, as well as overall management of numerous account responsibilities and coordination of delivery of the finished product. This individual should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a proven ability to manage his/her workload in a fast paced, deadline-driven, challenging environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage small business accounting projects for select clients
  • Monthly account postings and reconciliations
  • Year-end closings to be used for tax preparation purposes
  • Maintain client contact and provide excellent customer service
  • Proactively anticipate clients’ needs
  • Provide training when necessary and have the ability to review work of others
  • Special projects and other requests as needed

Qualifications include:

  • High- to expert-level experience in QuickBooks
  • At least three years of accounting experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform monthly and year-end accounting and reconciliations
  • Troubleshoot and correct account mis-postings
  • Respond to client accounting inquiries
  • Strong interpersonal skills – will need to work closely with both clients and firm staff
  • Small business and/or individual tax experience a plus
  • Accounting degree and/or the equivalent work experience preferred
