The Audit Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing audit assignments; performing financial, operational, and process audits; compiling audit reports, and preparing a detailed risk assessment document. This position will also be assigned in developing auditing programs, identifying audit scope, staff requirements and timetable.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide management over a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audit and assurance service, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work
- Manages project financials, including budgets, WIPS, timely billing and collection and variance recognition
- Maintain the highest technical and professional standard
- Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks
- Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
- Coach, train and develop junior staff
- Special projects as assigned
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience supervising and training team members
- Capable of managing multiple client engagements in addition to completing tasks
related to business development
- Comfortable with preparation and leading of team meetings
- Knowledge of multi-state taxation preferred
- Outstanding analytical abilities and attention to detail
