He is the President and CEO of tonneson + co and has been with the firm since inception. He has over thirty-five years of Accounting, Tax and Advisory Service experience. His areas of expertise include manufacturing, distribution and service organizations such as engineering, architecture, law, insurance, HR recruitment, research and development and restaurants.
Professional Background
Rick specializes in assurance services, domestic and international tax consulting and planning and acts as a management advisor for privately owned entrepreneurial businesses. He participates in strategic business planning, private and public capital formation, debt financing, and private equity, mergers and acquisitions, international tax and business strategies and compensation planning. In addition, some of his areas of concentration include perpetuation and succession planning, estate planning, personal financial planning, litigation support and situations that surround family owned businesses.
Education & Associations
Rick received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Salem State University. He has his Master’s Degree in Taxation from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Rick is a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Consulting Division of the Geneva Group International, the sixth largest global organization of independent law, accounting, audit, & consulting firms. Rick is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
