- Areas of Emphasis: More than 10 years of accounting and auditing experience with privately-held companies in the distribution, service and manufacturing industries as well as employee benefit plans; Certified QuickBooks Proadvisor.
- Why Public Accounting: Originally, I got into this business to get my CPA and get out. The fact that I’m still here over 10 years later, says a lot about how I feel about the firm, my colleagues, my clients and the profession in general. Seeing clients through financial and strategic business planning and reporting has proven both challenging and rewarding.
- Tonneson Experience: Tonneson is a great place to build a successful career and maintain an excellent quality of life. The work/life balance is a delicate one, but Tonneson takes some of the complication away with its option of flexible work schedules and some family friendly social events. The tone at the top is getting quality work done efficiently and effectively, which allows for quality vacation and personal time to revitalize, the importance of which is invaluable on a professional and personal level.
- Outside of work: I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to dance competitions with my daughter and the sport of the season with my sons keeps me very busy! I enjoy attending sporting events with my husband, a Colorado native, and have been to two Superbowls, both Denver victories! I enjoy concerts of many different varieties, Billy Joel is my favorite. I love to exercise including running, soccer and swimming; however, my favorite and most challenging exercise is keeping up with my children; I wish I could bottle their energy!
- Someday I will: Take golf lessons! This is one sport I have very little experience with but would love to learn, I feel it’s a great sport to provide both professional and personal social interaction and grow old playing! Additionally, I aspire to teach in some way shape or form, adjunct professor, seminar leader, etc., I would like to be able to share all I have learned and experienced.
